CARLSBAD: Designer puppy abandoned by owner to be adopted

The designer puppy whose owner couldn’t afford surgery on it after paying $1,000 for the canine at a Los Angeles pet shop will be adopted into a new home today, San Diego County Animal Services announced Friday.
